A considerable amount of time has passed since I last voiced my opinions about erotic fan-art produced using AI tools. In that time, while looking over sites for erotic fan-art which appeals to me, I have necessarily been subjected to viewing a lot of such art produced with such AI tools. So, do I have anything more to add to what I've said previously?
Firstly, I still hold by the opinions which I have expressed before. The bulk of AI-generated erotic fan-art is boring and generally worthless for stimulating one's libido, or at least for stimulating my libido. Nonetheless, someone who is sufficiently imaginative is capable of using AI tools to produce erotic fan-art which is interesting, exciting, stimulating, or to which other positive adjectives may be applied. Such sadly doesn't happen often, but it does happen occasionally.
However, one new comment which I would like to add is that most such art suffers from the fact that the central female character is rendered sufficiently well, or even very well, but the male characters included in the image are virtually always generic rather than being taken from the male characters of the universe in question. This is something which is considerably more rare in art created by a human.
If I see a cartoon in which Akane Tendo and some guy are getting it on, then I like it when the guy is Ranma, or Ryoga, or Kuno (father or son), or Happosai, or her own father Soun, etc. I don't mind the occasional cartoon where Akane is sucking the cock of some random student at Furinkan High School, or getting gang banged by some unknown group of men who have abducted her. But I like it when the bulk of cartoons I am looking over featuring Akane (when she is not solo) also feature boys/men from the Ranma 1/2 universe.
Likewise, I like seeing Belle with the Beast, or Gaston, or her papa, or the director of the mental asylum. Snow White should usually be with the dwarves, or the woodsman, or the prince. Red Riding Hood should be with the wolf, or the wood cutter(s). Wendy should be with Peter, or the lost boys, or Hook, or other pirates. Alice should be with the Mad Hatter, or the White Rabbit, or the March Hare, or Tweedledee, or the knight, etc. Violet Parr should be with Syndrome, or her brother Dash, or her father, or Frozone, or the boy she likes from school. Granted, people create AI art showing Violet with her mother Helen, but the males are still almost always generic, and frankly I am that rare male who has zero interest in watching two females getting it on together.
Instead of the above, we are given a reasonable likeness of a female character from some show/movie/anime/manga in nude poses where she is standing, or lying on a bed, or kneeling, etc. And we see her with some generic unidentifiable male who is screwing her, or fucking her ass, or getting his prick sucked, or coming on her face, her tits, her body. And after looking at these with half a dozen different female characters, one soon realizes that one can get one of these sets from another simply by replacing the girl in question, plus replacing the background. And these backgrounds often also have no relationship to the universe in question.
So, taking Akane Tendo as an example, since she is my favorite female cartoon character. If I must see AI-generated artwork of her, then I would like to see more which also features males such as the ones I named above. And I would like to see more than just the generic sex positions. Where are the images where the background is chosen to be more meaningful for the universe, such as a school roof, or a dojo, or a shinto shrine even? Where are the cartoons which make use of in-universe elements? For example, showing Akane with a paper doll on her back, doing something with Gosunkugi. Or in chains, with Mousse. Or in a shredded gi, with the dojo destroyer. Or tied up with bandannas, with Ryoga. Or on an examination table, at the Ono clinic. Or being spied on, or even molested, by a little black pig. Or anything more than generic sex — say a bit of bondage, or being molested on a subway, or something. I won't even dare to wish for an AI-generated cartoon set showing Akane and female-Ranma, drugged by Kodachi, and left in her brother's bed as a surprise to be well-used by him.
I am with you on all your points. I have stumbled across a few AI creators who have produced some really quality comic book-style storylines. One such featured an adult Willy Kit from Thundercats being broken in by Mumm-Ra. That is one example. I live in hope that some such creative person will turn their sights on Ranma. I have been amused by those who try to use the male characters, but are terribly inconsistent. Ranma's pigtail vanishes and reappears. Ryoga's bandanna is doing the same. I have a feeling that when you let AI do all the work, you have to do a new prompt for every picture, and if you forget to specify unique traits, they get left out, and you are left with a generic male.
ReplyDeleteI have started to see some really fantastic Animated AI on YouTube showing what can happen when you team a real creative up with the software. I look forward to the day when thirty-minute cartoons can be produced in short order, a month or so, by a small team of three or four, rather than by a warehouse of minimum-wage Asians.
I posted this a year ago, and see nothing to change in it. I get especially annoyed when the male model clearly shares traits with the female model, such as hair color and style.
DeleteAnother thing I've noticed now and then recently, is when the art includes text, usually a box containing narration. BUT, the text was also obviously generated by the AI, and has various flaws. I mean, come on, is it THAT hard to use a graphical editor after the AI is finished to slap on some text which is correct both grammatically and for the universe in question? Just adding some text like that ought to be trivial.
I don't know if you ever came across an online game. Super Blowjob, or something like that. You had a female template, and by changing nothing more than the hair style, with ornaments, you could turn her into basically any anime female. You could also adjust a few of her measurements. I heard the creator was planning on allowing mods to the anonymous male character, but he vanished from online never to be seen again.
DeleteThat is the level of a lot of AI stuff I see. But I have seen a few things that give me hope where the creator is only using it as a tool.

I imagine you are referring to Konashion's Super Deep Throat. Which used flash, so good luck finding a platform on which to run it now. But yeah, obviously I remember that.
DeleteI would love to see MV continued as well. But with my poor health, I have my doubts I will ever be able to do it. I still look at it from time to time, and think about what I would like to do, but never seem up to doing any of it.
I fully understand. I'm in the same boat. If I had the money and could find a suitable author I would have so many ideas to see fleshed out.
