Porn in Other Fandoms

I was taking a little time to think over the fact that I'm not very interested in fanfiction erotica outside of the Ranma 1/2 universe.

One obvious problem is that I only read a signficant amount of fanfiction for two other fandoms, Inuyasha and Harry Potter. I do read occasional stuff for others, for example Ah My Goddess and D.N.Angel, but not very much.

I think the problem with Inuyasha is simple enough. The only interesting female character (to me) for erotic purposes is Kagome herself, which wouldn't lend itself to a lot of variety, and in any case I absolutely detest anything happening between Kagome and Sesshomaru even in porn. I find Sango to be uninteresting, Rin is too young, Kaede is too old, Kikyo is too dead, and Kagura is too minor. Also the present-day Japan is too small a piece of the story to be very interested in anything involving Kagome's mother or her school friends. Although the latter probably offers the most scope, insofar as what I would find interesting.

I'm more puzzled by my lack of interest where Harry Potter is concerned. There are enough girls for reasonably interesting stuff, starting with Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Nymphadora call-me-Tonks. Then expanding to Susan Bones, Hannah Abbott, Daphne Greengrass, Pansy Parkinson, Cho Chang, the Gryffindor chasers, Fleur Delacour, and more. Even Narcissa Malfoy and her sister Bellatrix could work in a MILF sort of way (disregarding the latter was never a mother in the books).

I suspect the problem might be too narrow a window for appropriate ages. I enjoy fanfiction based on Hogwarts years 1-5 (or earlier), but seldom anything later. I personally found book 5 to be less interesting than books 1-4, and books 6 and 7 were much worse. So we have the settings from books 4 and 5 where the students in Harry's year were age 14-16, anything before that is getting too young, and anything after that is based on books I didn't like. Still, that ought to leave enough scope for plenty of good, hot stories, but it just doesn't seem to work for me.

It's a puzzle.

Kagome porn pairings

I was sitting here thinking about the which guys I'd be interested in having sex with Kagome Higurashi of Inuyasha in a porn setting. In a non-porn setting, I'm strictly interested in the canon pairing of Kagome and Inuyasha. In porn, I could also enjoy Kagome having sex with Inuyasha, including rape by a temporarily full-demon Inuyasha. I could also see Kagome being fooled into sex by a teenage Shippo impersonating Inuyasha, being fondled by Miroku under circumstances where he can take advantage of her, being molested by her grandfather, or teaching her younger brother about sex. I could enjoy a well written story where she is raped by Naraku (or one of his incarnations), by Hojo, or by other schoolmates or strangers in the future.

The one male for whom the thought leaves me cold of sex between him and Kagome is Sesshomaru. I don't know why, but the thought is simply distasteful to me. It's not that I dislike the character. I can be quite happy with contemplating Sesshomaru paired with Kagura, Rin (grown up), or no one. But the thought of Sesshomaru sticking his dick in Kagome makes my skin crawl for some reason.

Hmm, that thought of Shippo impersonating Inuyasha is actually rather interesting. Although if he used it to take her virginity, he'd better be planning to disappear very thoroughly afterward, since Inuyasha would be bound to learn of it. But if Kagome and Inuyasha had started a relationship, and Inuyasha snuck off to meet Kikyo without telling Kagome, then Shippo might be able to get away with it. Of course, I see this with a slightly older version of Shippo, possibly a few years later than the canon setting.

Kagome Pairings

I've written some of chapter 30. Ukyo's first time playing with Ranma and Akane under Ryoga's rules. She isn't thrilled to find that Ranma is stuck as a girl and thus can't service her as a boy, but agrees that it's not a bad idea that her former fiancé won't be able to screw Akane anytime soon.

I was reading an Inuyasha lemon yesterday, pairing Inuyasha and Kagome. It got me thinking about something. I enjoy Inuyasha/Kagome lemons. I can also enjoy lemons, dark or otherwise, in which Kagome has sex with Koga, Miroku, Naraku, Shippo, bandits, Hojo, male schoolmates, or other strangers in the past or present (though I'm not partial to these as ordinary pairings). What I am totally unable to read, as ordinary pairing or lemon, dark, light or in-between, is any suggestion of a relationship and/or sex between Kagome and Sesshomaru. It's not that I can't stand reading Sesshomaru pairings - I have no problem if he's paired with Rin, Kagura, or someone else. It's particularly strange when you consider the large number of Kagome/Sesshomaru shippers out there in the fan-fiction universe.

MV 25 Started

I wrote a chunk of chapter 25 of Moxibustion Violation today. Not a huge amount, but at least it's something. The words were flowing pretty smoothly for a while, until a necessary chore interrupted.

I know the slow progress must be frustrating for everyone. It's certainly pretty frustrating for me. I can't seem to find any spare time for writing except on the weekends. Then when the weekend rolls around, I tell myself I'm definitely going to get some writing done, but the old fire is usually lacking and I find myself frittering my time away on other things instead. There are times I'd like to chuck this shit I'm taking in the trash, if it weren't for the certain knowledge that the result would only be worse.

Enough of that. I don't want to write a lot of angsty, whiny crap about how awful my life is. Because it isn't, not really, and I know that. Hell, compared to a lot of people I've got a damned good life.

I'm enjoying reading T.H.Tiger's story Games. It's a nice little bit of Ranma porn which allows Ranma to enjoy things in both male and female forms. Of course, I'd like it better if Akane wasn't a dyke, but I understand that's part of the original set up and I can live with it.

I wish more people could write good InuYasha porn which involved him, Kagome and their gang. But so much of it is either poorly written, or pairs Kagome with Sesshomaru, which is a pairing that I just can't see. Mind you, I don't insist on I/K for porn. Let Miroku bang Kagome, InuYasha give it to Sango, Shippo put a spell on them all. Hell, even bring Kouga into it, if done right. But S/K is just too weird. In any case, I don't look too often, because the mountains of crap are just too high to wade through.

That's one advantage to Ranma fiction. There may not be as much of it as InuYasha, but it seems like a higher percentage of the stories are at least decent reads.
