Greenery Day, Day 27

In the end Ranma decided that losing his virginity had been so fantastic that he wanted to do it again right away. So for the next four days he took no chances, and played the scene with Nabiki following precisely the same script. Except at the end, when he made sure he was kissing her as she came in order to avoid interruptions by her sisters.

Afterward, he would pass the rest of the day trying to make plans for how to go further with Kasumi, or how to get into Akane's pants at all. Except he was coming up a bit dry on anything he thought might be workable. So he figured he'd just try experimenting and see what happened.

Thus on the fifth day after losing his virginity, he tried to do a variation on the shaving scenario with Akane. This got him nowhere. The girl merely redirected him (or her as she was at the time) to her sister Nabiki, and somehow he wasn't able to get things back on track to fuck the middle sister that day.

He wondered if Akane might open up a bit more if they were alone in the furo without her sisters present, so he tried reworking the whole “I'm really a girl, cursed to turn into a boy” set up in a way to get Akane to bathe alone with “her.” This failed the first day, got him alone in the bathing room with her the second day, which was nice enough for getting another look at the girl, but didn't make any progress toward the naughty stuff.

Then he thought he'd try a variation on his explanation of the curse.

GD 8 scene 1

I've completed the rough draft of the first scene of the next chapter in Greenery Day. I'll post it here once I've polished it up a bit.

Ranma comes up with a plan to get into Akane's pants.

Review from Anon on AFF

Quoting a review for Greenery Day on AdultFanFiction:

Size does not matter to a degree considering location of nerves. Too large is usually too painful though, because hitting the cervix is not pleasant from what I have read in medical journals. A number of guys have difficulty controlling themselves especially in climax so the ones who are too large can hurt a girl and leave a bad impression. If it was the girl’s first time it is far from impossible that she will develop trauma.

... the hell? Sir, are you aware that you were reading porn? You know, where it's not uncommon for authors to have men with baseball bat sized dicks screwing virgins and have them screaming in delight? Or was the problem that I only made him bigger than average instead of being hung like The Incredible Hulk, and therefore you expected something realistic to the point it could be printed in a medical journal?

I'm shaking my head over somebody worrying about details like this while reading such a story, instead of fapping like a normal person.

GD and Kodachi

Christmas is keeping me busy.

I have an idea for the next chapter of Greenery Day that might bring Ranma into contact with Kodachi. If so, I'm thinking she might react as in the manga to paralyze him, and steal some kisses. Except there won't be anyone to interrupt, so she actually will get the kisses. However Ranma will get frustrated and turn it around on her the next day.

Still, I've been taking a lighter approach with GD than with MV, so I'll probably avoid outright noncon. Most likely have him get Kodachi really hot, and then see where it goes from there.

Greenery Day, Day 19 (2)

A short time later, Ranma was in the Tendo's bathing room, soaping herself up beside the three sisters. Nabiki had just finished explaining how she shaved her pubes into a thin strip.

Ranma looked down at her own bush, acting as if the notion boggled her mind, even though she'd had a few days now to get used to the idea. She looked up again and asked, with a manufactured tremor in her voice, “You ... you shave it? Isn't that dangerous?”

Nabiki laughed. “Not as long as you're careful. It's not like you hack at it with a machete, after all.” Her smile turned sly and she asked, “Would you like me to shave yours for you?”

Ranma looked down between her legs again, then locked eyes with the middle sister, making the first serious change in the day's routine. “Okay. I guess I ought to learn how. Thanks for offering to help.”

Nabiki blinked, staring at the redhead in surprise for several seconds. Then she shook herself and replied, “Um, yeah, okay. No problem.”

“After we finish up, though,” Ranma appended. “I've really been needing a bath, and it's ... nice ... sharing it with all of you.”

“We're happy to do it,” Kasumi told the girl cheerfully. Then she compressed her lips and suggested, “You might want to wait until after lunch to have Nabiki show you how to shave yourself. By the time we finish our bath it will be almost lunchtime, and there's no need to be rushed about it.”

Nabiki just shrugged. If she was going to do it, it didn't much matter to her when.

After all four girls rinsed off, Nabiki rose, stretching. “I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for a long soak in the furo.”

Greenery Day 7 Near

I think.

I'm getting pretty close to the end of chapter 7 of Greenery Day. Unless something major happens to change how the chapter ends. As soon as it's done I'll post the second half of the chapter here, then see about putting up the entire chapter at AFFnet and AssTR.

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. At least if you're in the U.S. If you live in some other country, well, I still hope you had a nice day.

The Curse Strikes Again

I purchased an external hard drive for my computer, and set up to have everything backed up to it once a day, every day. It seems to be working fine. Hopefully any future problems with my home computer will not lead to a loss of precious data.

So how else can the curse strike? A couple of weeks ago the primary hard drive in my workstation at the office died! They put in a new drive, but were unable to recover anything from the dead drive. Oh well - this is a major company. They make backups.

The backup was unrecoverable. Something about an encryption that got fucked up. I'm like, what kind of million to one chance is this?! Just who in the netherworld did I piss off that much?

Luckily - and I say this through gritted teeth - I had just taken that business trip overseas in September. For which I took a laptop on which I had copied a lot of material from the workstation. Which I was able to copy back from the laptop. So there was a lot of important stuff which I didn't lose. On the other hand, there was a lot of vital data which I did lose - including all information on some research projects into which I'd put a fair bit of work.

So things at the office have been - let's say a little hectic. For want of more expletive laden language. And naturally my health took a downturn under the stress.

In other news, I did some more work on the current chapter of Greenery Day last night. Hopefully, barring any other distractions, I'll finish it sometime soon. At the moment, Ranma's getting a shave.

GD chapter 7 update

I've completed the morning scene for chapter 7 (Day 19), which sets up for what will hopefully be some interesting events in the afternoon. This day's target is Nabiki.

Greenery Day, Day 19 (1)

After watching the police haul off the tranquilized panda for the fourth morning in row, Ranma walked into a nearby café and ordered breakfast for himself. He wanted to mull over his plans for the day one more time before putting them into effect. Or trying to put them into effect. After all, things didn't always go quite the way he intended.

He had managed to get the Tendo girls to tell him quite a lot about themselves the last three days, and even paid attention. He knew that Kasumi had a fair bit more experience than she wanted either of her sisters to know about, as well as some pretty quirky ideas, like her whole ‘boys shouldn't touch semen’ attitude. It had given him considerable amusement to maneuver her into saying more than she intended in front of the other two girls, and watching her blush afterward. The looks of shock on Akane's face were kind of priceless as well.

In almost direct contrast, Nabiki tried to pretend to more experience than she truly had. Although she never came straight out and claimed anything that wasn't true, still she danced around the truth trying to get him to draw the wrong conclusions. After sifting her words for the last few days, however, he was nearly certain that she hadn't done anything more than kiss a boy so far. A smile touched his lips as he reflected on his plan to make use of that tendency to imply she'd done more than she really had.

The youngest sister, Akane, hadn't even kissed a boy. She had some darned unflattering opinions about guys in general, although in those instances where her sisters persuaded her to set those attitudes aside for a few moments, she could demonstrate an innocent curiosity about sex — and his body in particular — which was always guaranteed to make him rock hard. And to be honest with himself, once she had explained about the morning fights with the idiots at her school, he found that he couldn't blame her too much for her opinions. It was a pity that every day was Sunday for him, and he couldn't make a trip to her school to beat the shit out of all those assholes himself, but he had played with the notion of hunting down this Kuno fellow one day and putting him in the hospital until the time loop reset.

Computer and GD

The computer seems to be behaving so far. Thank God. I've gotten a fair bit written on the next chapter of Greenery Day. I plan to skip forward a few days, and review what happened on the intervening days in recall and flashbacks, rather than going into extensive detail on Ranma's minor variations on what he's already done. The idea is to skip to the next significantly new thing he tries.

Greenery Day, Day 15 (4)

Ranma continued to stroke himself, carefully watching the girl sitting before him. She appeared to be completely frozen, as if he'd fried her brain. The only indication of awareness was the way her eyes tracked his hand, back and forth, back and forth. The boy allowed his eyebrows to lift the tiniest fraction, as he wondered whether she'd continue to sit there like that until he came all over her.

However, it couldn't have been much more than half a minute, a minute at most, before the older girl shook herself out of her trance. “Uh, R-Ranma-chan,” she half-whispered, in a very shaky voice, “I think you should stop doing that.”

“Why?” Ranma asked, just a bit petulantly. “It feels really, really good!”

Kasumi swallowed hard. She had spoken no more than the truth earlier, telling her sisters that Ranma's penis was a bit larger than average, but not outlandishly so. Just at the moment, though, looking straight into its single eye hovering not so very far in front of her face, it looked monstrously huge. Further, it was only too easy to imagine a repeat of this morning's accident in the furo, coating her thoroughly ...

A tremor passed through Kasumi. As if forcing its way through molasses, her arm slowly rose, until her fingers closed around Ranma's hand, stilling it. She stared at her hand on Ranma's, which in turn was wrapped around that iron hard cock. Licking dry lips and clearing her throat, she finally managed to say, “If you don't stop, I'm afraid that you'll make a mess like you made this morning.”

A bit put out that he wouldn't have a chance to do so, the teenage martial artist allowed his eyes to widen and said, “Oh. Oh! I guess that would be a ... bad thing, huh?”

Kasumi smiled, struck again by the girl's, or boy's, innocence. Not wanting their young guest to become upset, she replied, “Not so much bad, as simply messy. Something we'd have to clean up. So let's avoid that, okay?”

Ranma looked down at their hands. “In that case, shouldn't you, uh, let go?”

Greenery Day, Day 15 (3)

Lunch was over with, and Ranma was out on the engawa enjoying the warm Spring day. Although she was keeping half an eye on the clouds overhead, wondering if the rain was planning to start up again. It was a bit irritating having to stay a girl to maintain her cover, but on the other hand the current attitudes of the Tendo sisters were a welcome change. On the previous takes of this day, Akane had remained upset for the rest of the day, and Kasumi and Nabiki had at best been leery of him. Now they were openly sympathetic and treating her nicely.

She supposed that she really ought to get up and search the house again, but didn't really have any new ideas of what to look for. What did a magical artifact that forced one to repeat the same day over and over again look like? There wasn't anything obviously weird in the house, and if it looked like something ordinary then how was she supposed to recognize it? Ranma sighed and decided to let her subconscious mull over it for a time while the rest of her took it easy.

Her thoughts drifted back to the scene in the bathing room before lunch. That had gone a helluva lot better than she'd expected when planning it. She thought about how she could tweak it in coming days to make it go even better. It would probably help to learn more about the sisters. After all, the more she knew about them, the better she'd be able to anticipate their reactions, which in turn meant she could try to arrange things to get the reactions she wanted.

Ranma told herself firmly that starting tomorrow, she should pay more attention to the girls' idle chatter. All that talk about themselves, their home, the town, must have revealed an awful lot — except that she'd been ignoring it in preference to focusing on the abundance of smooth, creamy flesh. It ought to be possible to look and listen at the same time. And toss in some leading questions to get them to reveal specific things. For that matter, she could go and talk to each of them later in the day, referring to things which had been mentioned and getting them to expand on it. Ranma nodded to herself, pleased with the idea.

Of course, it wasn't a plan she could follow too well on this pass through the day. She honestly didn't remember anything to speak of from the conversation, other than a few fragments like Kasumi being a good cook. And she'd have known that, anyway, after the lunch she just ate. Ranma leaned back and gave another sigh of contentment.

Perhaps she should track Kasumi down and talk about cooking? Not that it was a subject on which she was terribly knowledgeable, other than fixing mildly edible meals out of doors. In fact, she might give the game away, since she didn't know as much as a girl probably ought. Didn't they take home ec in school and stuff? No, probably best to wait until she could come up with better ideas.

Ranma suddenly remembered Kasumi's tongue sliding over her lips, removing the traces of white spunk plastered across them. She shivered. With a smile she thought, Maybe we could talk about boys? She snorted a laugh, and then stuck out her tongue as if wanting to gag. No way did she want to pretend too hard about finding boys cute and crap.

On the other hand ... what if ...

Ranma thought it over a bit, with a growing smile. It might just work at that. Tamping her grin back down, she stood and went in search of the oldest of the girls.

Greenery Day, Day 15 (2)

"Well, he said he had a son!"

"Do you see a son ..." Nabiki looked down, startled, at her hand enclosed in the firm handclasp of their unexpected visitor. A hand she had expected to be holding something else entirely, hopefully to the embarrassment of the girl who had put her so off balance.

"Pleased to meet ya," Ranma said to her, releasing the hand again immediately. "And I'm afraid pop lied," she said with a sigh. "I'm his daughter Ranma, but the bastard was planning to trick you into thinking I'm his son."

"If you'll pardon me, Ranma-chan," Kasumi stated sweetly, "I don't see how that would be possible. It's rather, um, obvious that you're not a boy."

Ranma made her features darken, putting on a good impression of raging fury. "That's why I'm alone now," she spat. "You wouldn't believe what that son of a — 'scuse me — what he did. I told him if I ever saw him again I'd kill him, and I ain't sure but that I might mean it. But I figured you deserved to know the truth. 'S why I'm here."

"What truth?" Nabiki asked, confused.

Ranma reached back to fiddle with her pigtail. "No way you'll believe me. Wish I didn't. But the old bastard managed to get me cursed to turn into a boy. Then he was gonna drag me here and tell ya I really was a boy."

Akane looked at the girl beside her dubiously. "Uh, but you haven't. Been turned into a boy, that is."

Ranma twisted her mouth sourly. This was the key point. "It ain't permanent. Thank God. But all he needs to do, all anyone needs to do, is splash me with some hot water and I turn into a freakin' boy!" The last part was yelled, as she doubled over, arms wrapped around her stomach, as if the idea was so unbearable it brought physical pain. The truth was Ranma just wanted to lower her face enough that no one could get a good look, since she wasn't sure just how convincing an expression she was managing.

"On come on!" Nabiki blurted in exasperation. "You're talking about honest to God magic! Next thing you'll be telling us oni are real, and that people can toss chunks of chi around."

No one noticed the uncomfortable look that passed across Soun's face.

Nabiki sat back, crossing her arms. "If you're not just making this up, then maybe your father just hypnotized you or something. To make you think you turn into a girl."

Ranma lifted her gaze, eyes blazing. This gave her the perfect segue, to offer her own plan before someone else suggested something simpler like a hot water kettle. "Yeah, I'm sure that would've convinced you lot that I was a boy! What kind've plan would thatta been? You don't believe me? Fine! I'll prove it! You got a furo in a house like this, right? You girls come with me! I'll show ya what hot water does."

She jumped to her feet, crossing her own arms over her chest. "Well?"

Kasumi rose to her feet gracefully, clearing her throat. It was best to humor the strange girl, but she found herself wondering, if it just might be possible ... well, hopefully not, for the poor girl's sake. "This way, Ranma-chan."

Akane also rose to her feet, unable to believe the weird claim, but honestly curious. Grumbling and rolling her eyes, Nabiki also stood and followed.

Still lying on the floor, Soun considered everything he had heard, wondering if there might be a way to retrieve something from this disaster after all.

What came next?

I was looking back over the posts on my blog about the mini-fic Greenery Day, wondering if I might try adding some more to it.

And I can't remember what was supposed to happen next.

I know that I had a definite plan in mind. Ranma got rid of Genma for a reason as part of a plan to give him a chance to see one or both of the other Tendo daughters (or all three). I can even vaguely recall one small part of the reason. But for some reason I can't convince my subconscious to release the rest of the plot.

Maybe I'll just have to ignore whatever I was thinking originally, and just come up with a fresh approach.

Greenery Day, Day 15 (1)

Genma looked over his shoulder at the boy strolling along behind him, hands clasped behind his back and whistling cheerfully. He gave a suspicious grunt and said, "I'm pleased to see you're taking this so well. I was sure you'd at least complain about it."

Ranma waved a hand dismissively. "Nah. I'm sure any girl you pick for me will make a great fiancee."

Genma stared at his son even harder on hearing this. However, the boy was following obediently and not showing any sign of looking for escape routes, so he just grunted again and continued.

"Hey pop. Why don't you get us a couple of okonomiyaki? My treat."

Genma turned around to see his son holding out some yen notes and pointing across the street. Grabbing the money by instinct, he turned his eyes to follow the boy's finger. There was indeed an okonomiyaki shop right there, and he now noticed the enticing aroma coming from inside even at this early hour. His stomach growled and he didn't bother to ask where the boy had come by this money. He hadn't eaten since yesterday and a stampede in the middle of the street wouldn't stop him right now.

Ranma watched his father go with a grin. He found that he didn't feel much remorse over the man whose pocket he'd picked. After all, his wallet would be full again tomorrow morning. He was also certain his pop wouldn't bother to share any of the food, but that was only to be expected. He could grab a bite for himself later. For now, he took the opportunity of his father's absence to duck into a store on this side of the street.

Pointing at a display on the counter, Ranma said to the clerk, "I'd like one of those disposable cell phones please."

A minute later he stepped outside and dialed 110.

"Police. What's the nature of your emergency?"

"Help!" Ranma shouted. "There's a wild panda bear running around loose on Mejiro, terrorizing people! It's chasing people right and left, swinging its claws at them! Oh crap, it's headed this ..." He hung up.

Looking across the street, he muttered, "Come on, pop. There's only a couple more minutes."

Genma emerged from the restaurant a minute later, licking his fingers. He didn't even make it all the way across the road before the rain arrived, right on schedule. Ranma raised her hands to her mouth and shouted in the panda's direction, "I changed my mind, pop! I'm headed back to China!" Then she took off running.

She didn't bother trying to fight. She just concentrated on staying out of the bear's reach. She also remembered to look panicked and give off a scream now and then. This helped to alert the people ahead of her, who panicked for real and ran for their lives. Ranma saw with satisfaction that several of them were making calls on their cell phones as they ran. Even if the police had dismissed hers as a crank call, they'd be responding now.

Three blocks later, a police car suddenly pulled out of a side street, blocking the way. Ranma leaped over it. The panda bear leaped it as well, but Ranma had dropped to the road, scooted underneath, and started running back the other way. Before she'd returned to their starting point, two more police cars pulled out in front of her, and the policemen who jumped out were holding rifles. They didn't hesitate, but lifted them and fired immediately.

Ranma breathed a sigh of relief on hearing the guns' reports. Tranquilizer rifles, as she'd hoped. When she'd come up with this plan, she'd told herself it wouldn't really matter if they used bullets. Her pop would be alive again tomorrow. But on the whole she was just as glad it turned out this way.

Ranma kept running, not wanting to answer a lot of questions. She turned down a side road, then doubled back. It was time to head to the Tendo home, and put the rest of today's plan into effect.

Greenery Day, Day 14 (2)

Ranma jumped out of the furo, and gave himself a quick spray in the shower. Then she sat down on the stool, turned most of the way from the door.

The door slid open and Akane walked in. Ranma immediately spun around the rest of the way, turning her back to the other girl. Akane stopped with a startled, "Oh! I ... I didn't know anyone was in here." Then she smiled. After all, this was her new friend. "Well, bathing together shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Ranma kept her face resolutely toward the wall and her eyes closed. "I ... I don't think that would be a very good idea," she mumbled. "You see, the truth is, I'm, um, ... the fact of the matter is, I really am a boy. Most of the time."

Akane's eyes widened and her jaw dropped at this bizarre statement. "Uh, not from where I'm standing you're not." She walked up closer, the pronounced curve of full breasts coming into view as she glanced around the redhead's side. "Believe me, boys don't have a chest like that." She sighed. "You look a lot more, um, busty than me."

Ranma glanced down, manfully resisting the urge to sneak a peek behind and to her left. "You mean the boobs? Believe me, that wasn't my idea. And you really oughta go before I see something I shouldn't. I wouldn't want you accusing me of being a pervert later."

Akane grinned wryly. "Oh come on. I'm not going to say something like that. I don't know why you're saying you're a boy when you're not, but I obviously don't have anything you don't have. So stop worrying. It's okay."

Greenery Day, Day 14 (1)

Okay, Ranma thought, Let's see if I can avoid getting my boob poked this time.

The tall man with the mustache leaned over, pointing a finger in her face. "You ... wouldn't be ...?"

Ranma bowed. "I'm the female Ranma Saotome."

The man backed up a step, face twisting in confusion and the beginning of despair. "Female?! But ... but ... Ranma is supposed to be Genma's son!" His voice rose to a wail at the end.

The short-haired girl stuck out her finger to poke anyway. Ranma sighed inwardly, This girl must be a lesbo or something. Outwardly she just smiled, grabbed the girl's hand before it could reach her, shook it firmly, and announced, "Pleased to meet ya!"

Then she looked up at the Tendo father, stating with a serious expression, "And technically, I am his son."

"Technically?" Nabiki demanded, trying to wring life back into her hand. This red-haired girl had one hell of a grip! "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

Ranma swept her smile across all of them. "You'll have to get pop to explain it, once you meet him. This was all his stupid idea."

The panda bear standing behind Ranma growled, lifting a paw threateningly.

Still smiling, Ranma announced, "Oops. Almost forgot." She pulled a rope seemingly from nowhere and, before Genma realized her intention, wrapped several loops around the bear, binding its arms tightly to its torso and even tying the legs together. "Can't let wild animals run around loose," she said cheerfully. Dragging her father out into the yard, she secured the other end of the rope to a tree. Cracking her knuckles vigorously, she told them, "Pop should be along eventually."

Shaking his head, tears gathering at the corner of his eyes, Soun whined, "I don't understand!"

Ranma patted him on the back. "That's okay. I'm sure it'll all be clear by morning."

Akane stepped forward, mildly confused but with a heart considerably lighter than it had been a short time ago. Instead of the feared fiance, here was a girl her own age whose speed suggested she might have some skill at martial arts. Giving a bright smile, she said, "Hi, I'm Akane. You want to be friends?"

Greenery Day, Day 13

As Ranma followed her pop down the road, she figured she'd take some time today to explore the Tendo house, to see if anything seemed like it might be responsible for the repeating day. Though she figured she'd take time for a little fun as well. That bit in the bathing room yesterday had been rather ... interesting. She smirked at the memory.

As she followed her pop through the gate, the bell sounded, warning of their approach. Running feet appeared as they reached the engawa, and she was swept up into a bear hug as soon as she introduced herself. Maybe tomorrow she'd try giving a fake name. She waited while the man figured out what was pressing into his chest, which he did after a moment, dropping her back to her feet.

Nabiki stepped up and poked her in the boob. "She ... is a girl!"

Ranma frowned, then grinned. Reaching out she wrapped her hand around as much of the other girl's firm tit as she could enclose and squeezed, hard. "Hey! So are you!"

Nabiki batted her hand away, wincing. "Of course I am! But someone told us that you were a boy!" She looked up accusingly at her father just as he fainted and collapsed to the floor.

Greenery Day, Day 12

"Come on, boy, wake up! Today's the day when you meet my old friend, Tendo-kun!"

Sighing as he sat up, Ranma reflected that he was becoming extraordinarily tired of hearing that same announcement every morning. How many days had it been so far?

The young man paused to total the passing days in his head. There was the first day he had met the Tendos. Then the three days he had tried to return to China. On the third day, admitting that he couldn't even get out of Japan, let alone to Jusenkyo, if he ended up back in this park every morning he had attempted to stay awake all night. It hadn't done any good, however. Like blinking his eyes, one moment he had been far to the west of Tokyo, the next he had been sitting up in this damned park again.

After that, Ranma had decided he would need to learn what was keeping him here and making the same day repeat over and over again. So for the next three mornings he had escaped from his pop, then returned to this park to scour every square centimeter of its grounds. To no avail. He had found nothing the least bit suspicious, let alone magical. Then he'd spent two days widening the search, but had given up even more quickly, realizing he had no idea what he was looking for and could hardly search all of Tokyo.

For two more days he had wandered aimlessly, but the teenage boy was getting tired of pointlessly doing nothing each day. Even the pleasure of knocking his pop unconscious each morning was beginning to pall. If nothing else, it was clearly time to find some other way to spend his days.

Ranma paused and added. Eleven days. That made this the twelfth repetition. He gave a much heavier sigh as he finished stowing his sleeping bag. He definitely needed something to break the monotony. Hell, he might as well let his pop drag him back to the Tendos. At least it would be different.

Ranma blinked at the thought, then shrugged. Why the hell not? It couldn't be any more boring than peering under rocks and behind bushes in a park. In fact ... Ranma froze as a new thought occurred to him. His pop had brought him here to meet the Tendo family, right? And he was the only person experiencing this day over and over again, right? Well, so far as he knew, anyway. Maybe there was something he had to do to put an end to it. And if so, well, wasn't it as likely as anything else that it had something to do with the Tendos, since they were why he'd been brought here?

Greenery Day, Day 2

Awareness of a new day slowly filtered in. Ranma Saotome, teenage martial artist, awoke slowly as was his custom. Eyes still closed to fend off the moment of arising as long as possible, he found himself remembering the previous day with considerable annoyance. Damn his pop anyway! Just who did his old man think he was, figuring he had the right to tell him who to marry? And then making him swear on his honor not to run off on his own?

Then there was that tomboy, Akane Tendo, they were trying to tell him to marry. As if! What kind of girl whacks a guy over the head with a table, just for pointing out the obvious fact that his cursed form had a bigger chest? And damn it! She had gotten just as good a look at him as he got at her, when she walked in on him in the bathing room. He hadn't said anything more than the truth!

Ranma paused at that, the mental image recalled when the girl had walked in on him, wearing nothing more than her skin and carrying a small towel. He ran his tongue over suddenly dry lips, aware of morning wood that he couldn't explain away as the usual reason. Well, okay, he'd admit to himself that this Akane was pretty damned cute, not that he would ever admit it to her. But that sure as hell wasn't any reason to make him agree to marry her!

"Come on, boy, wake up! Today's the day when you meet my old friend, Tendo-kun!"

Ranma's eyes snapped open involuntarily at that. What the hell was his pop talking about? He'd met the Tendos yesterday.

His eyes widened. They were surrounded by trees, the same park where they'd slept night before last. He was in his sleeping bag, and his pack was on the ground beside him. What the hell was going on? He'd gone to sleep last night on a futon in the Tendos spare room. How'd he get out here?
