I've just finished outlining chapter 26 for Moxibustion Violation. Which unfortunately is no indication of how quickly I'll write it, considering that I had the outline for chapter 25 completed months ago.
There are two plots planned for chapter 26. The obvious one involves Ukyo, and what happens concerning her plans for revenge. The other one, about which I would be surprised if anyone can guess what it entails, sets up for certain things I have in mind for when the next school term starts. It involves character(s)/event(s) from the manga which have not previously made an appearance in MV.
Good to see you writing again. The flow of your writing has changed a little, more rigid than what I remember. This might be due to the long gap in chapters, or maybe your writing style is changing. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the timeline is until Akane and Co. are cured, but I'm wondering how it's (the little time before being cured) going to affect Gos's plans. From what I remember, the two main character's were initially Akane and Gos, with everyone else just being added flavor to the story. The story has gotten a bit more busy than what it used to be like.
Oh yeah, the lack of reactions from the midgits was a bit weird. Even if Ranma isn't their preferred type of woman, it's sorta hard to believe seeing any woman nude and tide to a fence wouldn't garner some expression.
Careful with your meds though. I love your story, but take care of yourself....
I'm not sure what to say about the writing style. I wouldn't be surprised if chapter 25 is different, since it was written in pieces over a long period. If there is a difference in 26, it might be because I'm still taking the stuff - reduced dosage is not quite the same as no dosage. Or maybe there were long term changes. Oh well, as long as the story is still enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThe initial plan was a one shot (just chapter one) with an option for a longer story if reader response was positive. Once the option was exercised, the plan became that a number of other characters would be brought into it - the doctor, Ranma, Hiroshi and Daisuke, Ukyo, the librarian and the principal, Kasumi. Yuka and Sayuri probably. Kodachi is still a possibility. At least I have taken steps to limit the cast, removing the Amazons, Nabiki, Tatewaki, and now the fathers.
Yeah, I suppose I could have had the midgets react a bit. But they are focused on the dragon's whisker to the exclusion of almost all else. Remember that in canon, Happosai was almost able to ignore a bunch of bras while trying to get his hands on the dragon's whisker.
I am being a good boy and following my doctor's instructions.
